1) The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
I was reading this book the other day and I wondered whether I had read this story before. Then I remembered that we had it in our syllabus for 10th grade English (around 4 years ago). That time I couldn't enjoy reading it so much as it was "studying" for me but now it is just "reading", so I liked it more this time.
2) Becoming by Michelle Obama
Since the day this book was launched I was dying to read it. Michelle Obama- I have always been inspired by her feminist ideologies and I was sure that I will like this book before I had even started reading it.
3) Moby Dick by Herman Melville
I remember I had picked this book up from the school library when I was in middle school. We had a short lecture/period dedicated for "quietly reading in the library" when most of us would just pretend to read something while doing our incomplete homework. I somehow still remember the whole story! After you finish reading the book, you will form an opinion about the characters and most probably debate with someone who has a different opinion as it had happened in my case. Was it necessary to do all this? Was that "revenge" necessary? You can read and decide.
4) Eat that frog by Brian Tracy
I was watching a youtube video on productivity and I heard the words "eat that frog first" and I searched for its meaning. While searching for its meaning, I found that there is a book named "Eat that frog" that contains productivity tips. While I do follow a few tips and fail miserably to follow the others, I can say that this book was, nevertheless, worth reading.
5) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Roald Dahl
As I had mentioned in my previous blog, we all need a dose of nostalgia sometimes. This book is a good option to take a trip down the memory lane. If you have watched the movie, I would still recommend that you read the book.
